Literacy Week

Our third graders became real life fossil hunters! Using chocolate chip cookies as rock layers, students carefully excavated the fossils(chocolate chip cookies) using paint brushes, just like paleontologists use special tools to dig up ancient bones.
They had to work slowly and patiently to avoid breaking their fossils, record their findings, and observe how fossils are preserved in layers over time. This hands on activity helped us understand how scientists study the past and uncover clues about Earth’s history.
Learning is always sweeter when you can dig in!! 🍪

Our pre-k class enjoyed having Mrs. Blair come read, The Cat in the Hat. We are having the best time celebrating Read Across America.
