The Scholastic Book Fair is off to a great start. Remember we will be open at Open House also. If your child gives you a price of an item, remember that I unfortunately do have to charge tax because Scholastic is a retail company.

Last week recap in pics
No School Monday. Enjoy the long weekend.

Congratulations to our Students of the Week!

Our kindergarteners had a Fall-tastic time in small groups! They played letter games, wrote sight words from pumpkins onto their dry erase boards, and used their monster fingers to read!

Picture Retakes have been rescheduled for Oct. 24.

It's here! It's here! The Scholastic Book Fair is all set up. If you haven't set up your child's class wallet, tonight is a great time to take care of that. Remember, because it is retail, I do have to charge tax. Because there is a holiday next Monday, I will be able to run the fair starting tomorrow through next Friday. It will also be open the night of Open House.

Congratulations to our Students of the Week!

Kiwanis, LAAC, and LBW Workforce Development sponsored Fleeta for art classes on Thursday and Friday. The art work created will be used for submissions to the art contest at the Covington County Fair. What a great experience for our students! I will add more artwork pictures tomorrow.

Picture Money is due October 3.
The AR deadline for the 1st nine weeks is October 9.
Important Info

Our second graders are diving into why leaves change colors in the fall! After reading an informational story, students are learning how to write a text-dependent paragraph to explain what they learned. They even got hands-on with science by using real leaves to color a tree picture using the chlorophyll inside the leaves!
We are learning, writing, and creating—what a beautiful way to celebrate the changing seasons.

Reminder: Sock it to Cancer Tomorrow. Wear crazy socks and Axl's favorite color, green. Bring $1 for the volleyball game. Concessions will also be available.
